I often get asked about my favourite part of being a bridal makeup artist. I thought about it a lot this year especially around my own wedding. I think being around a bride and her nearest and dearest on your wedding morning is such an honour. It can be incredibly intimate and sentimental time full of love, joy, laughter and some tears. It is beautiful in so many ways.

My top tips for any bride:

• Hire people you align with.

  It is incredibly important to surround yourself with people who understand your vision and emotions. Hiring wedding suppliers who understand this will make your day even more magical.

• Scheduling.

  As regimental as it might seem a good schedule is half the battle. Let your suppliers guide you on this. We know how long it takes and will be happy to advise you on the best timings for your day based on your location/numbers/ceremony time. We have seen it all and understand what needs to be considered.

• Enjoy it.

  It can feel overwhelming and some brides feel anxious on their wedding morning. Allow yourself to feel all the “feels” but try your best to enjoy all the little moments. It truly is the most magical day.
